Myrtle The Coast Residents Association

Myrtle The Coast Residents Association

Myrtle The Coast Residents Association (MCRA) was established in January 2023 by a group of volunteers in the Myrtle section of The Coast.  We came together as a result of realising that an unseen impact of the Pandemic was that newcomers to our neighbourhood during Covid times were not given the opportunity to meet, or even greet their neighbours properly. We wanted to take the opportunity to bring together neighbours, new and old (all young at heart!) to rekindle the community atmosphere that our estate has previously enjoyed.  We now have regular meet ups to suit various interests, from walking to gardening, to just meeting up for a coffee and a chat, with an opportunity to enjoy some home baking.

OUR AIMS:

To encourage community and social interaction

To improve communication within the neighbourhood

To protect, maintain and improve amenities within our estate for the benefit of all residents

To build positive relationships with local authorities (eg An Garda Siochana, Fingal County Council, local representitives, and other agencies) to maintain a high standard of living within our estate.

CURRENT PROJECTS:

Community events

Regular community clean ups

Flower planting and general improvements to the aesthetic of the estate

Better communication throughout the community on issues that affect us all

Running the Neighbourhood Watch in conjunction with An Guarda Siochana

Campaigning for permanent, safe, universal access to Clongriffin Dart Station
